Waterjet cutting is a cold-cutting process that eliminates slag deformation and dross waste – unfortunate effects found in plasma and laser cutting processes.
Economical: Waterjet is not just environment-friendly, but also economical because it does not involve wastage of water. Since it uses only water, there is no toxicity in the process. Also, it requires only as much as half to one gallon of water per minute. The water that is used in cutting can be re-cycled and re-used.
Non-toxic: This method of cutting is non-toxic because it does not emit any harmful gases. The waste water generated through this process can be filtered and easily disposed of in the drain without the fear of this water having a negative impact on the environment. In case an abrasive is used with water for cutting hard objects, the used water can be recycled easily. As compared to other cutting materials such as asbestos and fiberglass, Waterjet does not lead to smoke, vapours, dust etc.
